George Floyd: A Memorandum from the MCN and WARC

The Museum of Black Civilisations (Musee des Civilisations noires – MCN) and the West African Research Center (WARC) respectfully honor the memory of George Floyd, the black brother squeezed to death by the knee of a white policeman, while his three henchmen were complictly looking. The Museum of Black Civilisations and the West African Research Center strongly condemn such a hainous act and its likes, which, by now, have repeatedly and seriously marred the uneasy relations between police forces and the black community in the United States of America.

The Museum of Black Civilisations and the West African Research Center recognize the rainbow mobilization of the black american community jointly with all the other human communities laboring for peace and liberty in the United States but also in other parts of the world so that from now on “never again will the knee of an armed police officer take the life of a human neck”.

The United States of America deserves much better than this and does not deserve to again go through the darkest episodes of its history totally jarring with the “Continuous Creation of Humanity” which is one of the major stated missions of the Museum of Black Civilisations (MCN) and the West African Research Center (WARC).
