The film, which is the fruit of a collaborative effort between Professor Karen Wells, University of London, Birkbeck, Dr Peace Tetteh of the University of Ghana and Professor Erdmute Alber, University of Bayreuth, was produced by the Ghanaian woman filmmaker and based on the research project of Fatou Kiné Diop with the support of Afrikids (Ghana), Plan International (Togo) and the West African Research Center (WARC).

It documents the various strategies by which children acquire new knowledge, competencies and skills in their daily lives in nine villages from rural West Africa. It is one of the results of a two-year project being implemented in Ghana, Senegal, Togo, with funding from the British Academy. The event, moderated by Professor Ibrahima Wane, University Cheikh Anta Diop, was attended, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 by 25 people.
