WARC hosted the 2023 Fulbright Enrichment Seminar for ETA’s posted in Sub-Saharan Africa

The seminar opened on Tuesday May 3rd and wrapped up on Friday, May 5th with 45 Fulbright English Teaching Assistants and staff from WARC, US State Department and the US Institute for International Education (IIE) attending.

After the opening ceremony and welcome remarks from Ousmane Séne, Director of the West African Research Center (WARC) and Catherine Pfaffenroth, Program Officer at ECA, US State Department, participants were engaged in various activities including: interactions with mentors, presentations by ETA’s, guest lectures and visits to a number of sites such as the American Space at the US Embassy.

The workshop was wrapped on Friday evening with all participants dancing to the tunes of a local live band while enjoying the appetizing and lavish dinner.
