The Academy of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is a US State Department Educational Bureau program funding young women entrepreneurs engaged in projects in various sectors including agriculture, cosmetics, the environment and health.

On Saturday October 19th, 2024 they were 24 awardees hailing from various regions of the country to be inducted at the West African Research Center (WARC with words from the Cultural Affairs Officer of the US Embassy and the Director of the Center. 

To date, 128 young women entrepreneurs from Senegal have benefited from AWE funding. The AWE program has been running since 2019 in Senegal and it also operates in various other african countries.
