HIGHLIGHT: Book Launch: Mamadou Youri Sall: SAES, le Vecteur des Réformes de l’Enseignement Supérieur, BaJoordo Editions, Dakar (Sénégal) Août 2021

 

The Syndicat Autonome de l’Enseignement Supérieur (Senegal autonomous higher education union – SAES) is one of the most prominent and active labor unions for higher education in Senegal. Over more than three decades, the organization has been fighting and striking to improve the living and working conditions of faculty, researchers and students on all campuses of public universities in the country.

 

The union has, over time, inspired and advanced many reforms for improvements in the higher education system in Senegal.

 

The panel gathered prominent leaders in academia, labor unionism and civil society activities: Professor Malick Fall, current SAES Secretary General, Professor Babacar Buuba Diop, former SAES Secretary General, Professor Mallé Kassé, former SAES communication secretary, Professor Seydi Ababacar Ndiaye, former SAES Secretary General and the author, Professor Mamadou Youri Sall of University Gaston Berger.

 

The event gathered 50 people including those who followed the discussions on youtube.
