A few months ago, a grant was awarded by the US Embassy in Senegal to a group of local young women entrepreneurs for a training over several weeks to give them the knowledge, know-how and expertise to improve their performances as entrepreneurs in various areas such as the processing of agricultural produce, the production of hair and body lotions, shuttle and taxi services to places such as the airport, computer technologies etc… The training took place at WARC and the funds were also entrusted to the West African Research Center (WARC) for safe management. The closing ceremony drew all 27 recipients to WARC in the morning of Saturday December 14 and was presided over by the Deputy Chief of the Mission of the US Embassy in Senegal and the Director of the West African Research Center
