HIGHLIGHT: The University Partnership Initiative’s Online Training Session on STEM’s wrapped up at the West African Research Center (WARC)

The University Partnership Initiative (UPI)  was launched by the Bureau of African Affairs of the United States State Department with a grant of 75,000 dollars allocated to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to offer an online professional development training to 13 instructors in the sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from seven senegalese public universities.. « Promoting the best pedagogical practices in the STEM: a professional development program based on proven data« , such is the name of the program aimed at improving the teaching of STEM in senegalese higher education institutions.

 

The graduation certificates were handed to recipients as part of a ceremony held at WARC on January 20th and presided over by the US Embassy Cultural Affairs Officer, two representatives of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the Director of the West African Research Center (WARC).
